About Us

 

Hello, we are Barbara and Gwen.  We love CHILD!  We had pictures of them on every available inch of our bedroom walls.  We went to their concerts and played their records over and over, until they drove our families crazy.  We knew all the song lyrics (and still do) and even made up our own dance routines to them.   (Thankfully before video cameras).  They totally dominated our lives during those last few years of the 1970s.  You could say we’d been there, done that, and bought the T shirts…literally.

 

One night, about ten years ago, over a few glasses of wine, we began reminiscing about those good old days.  So we decided to look on the internet for information about the band.  Well, there was very little, and certainly no website dedicated to them.  We thought this was a dreadful oversight and decided to put things right.  We created our first fan site for CHILD and christened it Still The Ones.  A year or two later we launched Still The Ones mk2, which did rather well.  It even gained the approval of the guys themselves.  We were very proud of our website, but due to problems with the host, we had to close it.  For the last few years we have been keeping the memories alive and the fans connected on facebook, but we missed our website.

 

So here it is, Still The Ones mk3!  We hope you like it as much as we do!
